The Vindicator was originally designed by the Capellan Confederation , with a lot of focus placed on reducing logistical difficulties. As a result, nearly 100% of the parts required for Vindicator assembly and repair are produced right on the planet Capella. Combat-wise, the Vindicator has a tough time competing with many 50-55 ton BattleMechs that fill similar roles.
In a lot of ways, the Vindicator is like the Panther 's big brother.

The VND-1SIB St. Ives' Blue was the personal Vindicator of Major Michael Jones, and his father before him. It's a modified VND-1R , replacing the PPC with a Large Laser and upgrading the LRM 5 to an LRM 10. Being a Hero Mech , the Vindicator VND-1SIB provides a 30% bonus.
