:Dude, chill. Help is definitely appreciated, but there are other people here and you're making dramatic changes without discussion. Some of the stuff you mention here sounds good, like new info on maps, tutorials, etc. but the removal of the Template:Infobox BattleMech is really bad. Put it back. Also, if you're wondering why some mechs are missing, it's because I've been the only one adding mechs and I decided to add them as they become available for credits in the game, rather than MC. --[[User:Trifler500|Trifler500]] ([[User talk:Trifler500|talk]]) 11:49, 14 January 2015 (UTC)

Overhaul

Looks like this wiki has been neglected for quite a while. I'm going to be working on overhauling this wiki primarily targeting new players to the game. I am starting by updating the mech pages to contain useful information, then the maps, and setting the main sections to be: Mechs (current layout is confusing and bombards new users with mostly irrelevant information), Mechlab (a tutorial on how the mechlab works, includes Weapons, Equipment, Upgrades and Modules subcategories), Pilot Lab, Maps (isn't updated), Gameplay (the Mech Manual is salvageable) and Community Warfare (currently entirely missing). The site currently looks like it was something designed for closed beta users, but that time is long gone. It's often the first thing that new players search for when looking up the game now. I wasn't aware there was anyone left who edited this wiki or cared about it with the outdated info, missing information on quirks and CW, infoboxes that mess up on certain browsers covering the text and wrong information on mechs and maps. You can undo the changes if you wish, it'd be easier and less likely to step on toes if I started a new wiki anyways with a focus on gameplay info over lore and looking like a standard wiki. Ads

Hey Seth, looks like this site has been bombed by ad's especially some discussion pages. I've had a look around and deleted the ones I've seen. Anyway think we should create a new kind of stub type? One that is asking people to come in a fill in the build section for example, or find out someone who's good at providing a fair and accurate review of what gameplay is like to write an article for us? --Houdini 13:28, 12 October 2012 (CDT)

Changelog

Hi, I'm wondering if it would be a good idea to add a changelog format to weapon items and mech variants. Also a forum or something to vote on policy would be appreciated as well. Other than that, good work and hope to be a helpful editor on this wiki. EDIT: Working example of this shown at my sandbox, CompositeGNFNR 07:31, 26 October 2012 (CDT)

The changelog is a good suggestion. I have other stuff I need to take care on this wiki first before I get to that project though. If you're volunteering, I'm more that happy to take you up on that! There is a forum for this wiki set up on the mwomercs site. (link)--Seth 16:52, 26 October 2012 (CDT)

Primer

Parts of the MWO Priner need to be updated. I'm kinda occupied with the weapons and certain other articles at the moment. So if someone could help with the primer, that'd be great. ==MeepSire 01:56, 14 November 2012 (CST)

Think u already discovered the Mech Manual. I'll drop some Bytes there and hopefully straighten some of the concepts already mentioned somewhere. ==Fleur 10th Dec. 2012

Lostech?

Had a look at the template on main page and it looks very like it's saying Single Heat Sinks and Jump Jets are lostech? May just be my perspective. --Houdini 14:42, 27 November 2012 (CST)

Specific stock loadouts

I've recently joined to ask this. Would it be possible to have specific loadouts on the stock variant mechs? I do have some ideas on how to do this, and I'll help if the idea is agreed on, but would it be worth doing? I thought of it when I was deciding which Commando to get, and I wanted to know how much SRM ammo each one came with. At this point, I know which Commando I want, so when I get it, I'll make an example of what I mean. --Autofire 12:08, 10 December 2012 (CST)

I have on my to-do list a plan to add a critical space layout of each 'Mech to the 'Mech pages so you can not only see how much ammo a stock 'Mech has, but also what its location is in case you face one and want to target that location.--Seth 13:56, 10 December 2012 (CST)
On my page I've added one idea. The other idea involves an image and I don't think it'll work now that I think about it. --Autofire 19:19, 10 December 2012 (CST)
I'll have a look... I can edit the form and add "ammo location" if needed... ==MeepSire 19:24, 10 December 2012 (CST)
yeah Seth has something very similar in his sandbox... I'll make a copy and do some testing if you don't mind Seth... =MeepSire 19:28, 10 December 2012 (CST)

Issues

ISP switched yet? And some things are broken like the Facebook like thing, DPS thing in class equipment disps as link but ill get that... ==MeepSire 21:12, 20 December 2012 (CST)

I disabled the facebook links to increase page load time. I got rid of the sidebar on, but clearly forgot to remove the links on the front page. I haven't switched to a new ISP yet, we will see how that goes. I did upgrade to a virtual server though.--Seth 23:53, 20 December 2012 (CST)

Release Notes

Any room on the main page to link to the recently updated Release Notes article? I know patch notes are definitely of interest to many wiki visitors. I also plan to implement changelog elements to all mechs and modules in the near future. --Ten19 (talk) 20:32, 29 May 2013 (UTC)
