Anecdotally, I have been having recent ammo explosions (according to Betty), but haven't lost all the ammo in the explosions (Cat-C1 with 6 tons in once torso and XL engine), so there may be a bug with only the hit slot exploding. = Fiona Marshe (talk) 06:51, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
- A possibility is that a partially empty ammo bin is exploding. If there is only 20 rounds left in an SRM ammo pack, then it will only do 36 points of damage which is not enough to destroy the side torso. Another possibility could be that an empty amo bin is being destroyed which would do no damage and in fact increase the amount of damage the side torso could take by taking damage that would have otherwise been applied to the internal structure itself. If you want to maximize the survivability of your XL engine though, you may want to consider storing ammo in your legs or arms if all of the critical spaces are filled by other equipment.--Seth (talk) 15:45, 4 February 2013 (UTC)
