The Mauler is an assault Inner Sphere BattleMech. The design is based on the spectacular failure, the Daboku. While much of the advanced technology was pioneered in the Daboku, time has allowed Combine scientists further study and refine the Star League technology it employed. The Mauler's success demonstrates the results of those efforts. Armed for long range combat, the Mauler typically has AC/2s and LRMs in the side torsos. The arms have energy weapons, which vary by variant.
