The LB 10-X Autocannon is a variant of the standard Autocannon 10 and was introduced in 2595 by the Terran Hegemony. The LB 10-X AC is essentially a giant Mech mounted shotgun shooting 10 pellets at a time out to medium ranges. Each pellet is capable of inflicting 1 point of damage. Spread was reduced (from 3 to 2.25) in the may 21st patch. Spread was further reduced (from 2.25 to 1.3) in the August 20th patch.
Chance of Critical Hits
The LB 10-X AC is ideal for getting Critical Hits because each pellet has a chance of doing Critical Damage. Like the Machine Gun and Flamer, each pellet has roughly a 66% chance to deal critical damage. Each pellet will do 2X the damage to internal structure components. It has a 39% chance to deal 1 critical hit, 28% chance to deal 2 critical hits, and 6% chance to deal 3 critical hits. The max damage each pellet can do is 6 compared to the normal 1 point of damage each pellet does to armor[3].
Due to a typo in the game files, the additional crit damage (2 for each pellet) is not being applied right now. This will be fixed in the March 5th patch.[4]
