The Cicada is an extremely fast 'Mech that is ideal for scouting and harassing. Most models carry a light load of weapons, but go very fast.
"Need speed? Try the Cicada." -MeepSire
Available Models[]
CDA-2A[]The CDA-2A carries a minimum of weapons, but an abundance of speed. Not even the Jenner is as fast. The Cicada's weapons loadout consists of two Medium Lasers and a Small Laser.
CDA-2A(C)[]The CDA-2A(C) is a Champion BattleMech. It features a modified loadout when compared to the Cicada CDA-2A, but it has the same hardpoints. The CDA-2A(C) can only be purchased with (MC), but it does provide a 30% XP bonus. It shares the same efficiencies as the standard -2A in the Pilot Lab tree.
CDA-2B[]The CDA-2B drops the Small Laser of the -2A and half a ton of armor in favor of adding a Flamer.
CDA-2B[]The CDA-2B drops the Small Laser of the -2A and half a ton of armor in favor of adding a Flamer.
CDA-3C[]The -3C departs from the normal close range loadout common to most other Cicada models in favor of adding a long range PPC. Two Machine Guns provide close range defense.
CDA-3F[]The CDA-3F is the only Cicada with Jump Jets and has a maximum jump distance of over 105. Like the -3C, it comes with a PPC, but it has two Medium Lasers instead of Machine Guns. It comes stock with a 320 XL engine, Endo-Steel, Double Heat Sinks, and Ferro-Fibrous armor.
CDA-3M[]The -3M is a recently introduced model that takes advantage of several new technologies. An XL Engine and Double Heat Sinks saves on weight, while an Ultra AC/5 provides twice the rate of fire of a standard AC/5. Finally, two Medium Lasers and an advanced Small Pulse Laser provides close range support.
CDA-X5[]The CDA-X5 makes use of a number of missile and energy Hardpoints. These hardpoints allow the X5 to take advantage of the lightest and most efficient weapons available. It also spreads the hardpoints evenly among all locations to minimize the disabling the damage potential of this 'Mech with one lucky shot. Like all Hero 'Mechs, the -X5 can only be purchased with . It does save you from having to make big purchases by including some of the best equipment available. An XL 330 allows you almost reach the maximum speed possible. All three advanced, and expensive, upgrades are already installed on the 'Mech as well. The -X5 also provides the same 30% bonus that all Hero 'Mechs do. |
